Digital Manager - Turnbul Prints Ltd. Lancashire

May 2011 - Present

Responsible for overseeing the high speed digital print facility for this well established commision printer. Colour manage the print facility, production colourist and working with the design development department to bring new collections to production. Clients include Andrew Martin, G.P & J Baker, Matthew Williamson, Schumacher and Vivienne Westwood.

 

Designer/Partner - We Like Soup Ltd. Belfast

August 2008 – September 2012

Designed, created and sold seasonal textile collections for sale to the fashion and interior markets. Clients included Betty Jackson, Marc Jacobs, Marks and Spencer and Oscar De La Renta.

 

P/T Lecturer in Textile Design – University of Ulster, Belfast

September 2010 – May 2011

Taught undergraduate modules in Textile Repeats and Digital Textile Design.

 

Freelance Technician – Tactility Factory, Belfast

December 2008 -December 2010

Freelance support in the development innovative concrete product. Produced laser cut and embroidered fabrics for use in 'girli concrete', mixed and poured the concrete for panels and tiles.

 

Technician for Digital Art & Design Production – University of Ulster, Belfast

September 2006 – May 2011

Research technician responsible for a fleet of textile equipment comprising; screen print facility, dye lab, reactive digital print, sublimation digital print, laser cutting and digital embroidery. Operated the facility as a commercial service to artists, industry and designers, assisted in research projects and ran staff, student and public workshops.

 

Digital Print Assistant– The Centre for Advanced Textiles (CAT), Glasgow School of Art

January 2006 - July 2006

Assisted in printing and production of commission work at this well renowned centre of digital print expertise.

 

Menswear Print Designer – Keelergordon Studio, London 

August 2004 - December 2005

Design and creation of print patterns and graphics for sale to brands such as River Island, Napipjiri and Fat Face.
